ZEPHYR STAGE PRESENTS AN ORIGINAL PRODUCTION OF GILGAMESH & ENKIDU: AN EPIC RETELLING
Don't miss the world premiere of Zephyr Stage's original production "Gilgamesh and Enkidu - An Epic Retelling" at Cavalcade in Fruita, Colorado. Join us as the Librarians of Ashurbanipal present the oldest story in existence, a hero's journey with original music, masks, dancing like nobody’s watching, epic battles, life and death, chorus girls, bromance, murder, eco-terrorism, a three-headed ogre, bad wigs, fake beards, faux furs, multi-instrumental musicians, drumming, an upright bass and the upright bassist who plays it! The production is directed by Zephyr Stage Executive Artistic Director Valerie Nuzzo. An incredibly talented cast includes John Coughran, Kim Nuzzo, Carrie Benham, Raquel Benham, Deena Proschold, Barent Foley and Carlee Allen. Opening night is Friday, Feb. 28, 2020, at 7:30 p.m. Performances continue Feb. 29, March 6-7 at 7:30 p.m. There will be two matinees, the first on Sunday, March 1, and the closing performance on March 8, both at 2 p.m. Tickets are $12.
