Companion Plantings with Lavender with Paola Legarre 1pm - 2:15pm Companion planting is an easy and very effective way to make your garden the best it can be. It draws on a few different principles, like pairing plants that repel insects with those that suffer from them, and matching water and fertilizer needs. Lavender is very particular in its growing requirements. It needs full sun, little water, and little to no fertilizer. It’s usually happiest if left alone. This means that if you place it next to a plant that prefers more attention, one of them is going to suffer. Find out which plants make best companions! Paola and her family moved to Palisade and opened Sage Creations Organic Farm which they maintain using sustainable farming practices: nourishing soil life, not using herbicides or synthetic fertilizers and encouraging beneficial insects through diversified plant hedge rows, companion planting and insect releases. As her lavender fields grew, she extended her product line to include farm-distilled essential oils, bath and body products, and lavender plant starts.

Reflexology with Susan Smith 2:30pm - 4pm Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet, hands, or ears. Reflexologists believe that these reflex points correspond to different body organs and systems, and that pressing them creates real benefits for the person's health. Susan Smith is a longtime foot reflexologist and this year is excited to the teach reflexology and the proper use of essential lavender oil in salves, with CBD to soothe pain and promote better sleep.
